We charge during cheap hours, but also when there is a surplus of energy. In doing so, we optimize on the EPEX and imbalance markets. We share the savings realized as a result with you in the form of a bonus. This bonus is shown in the app and paid out to you once a month. As a result, you are never more expensive, and often even cheaper, than if we had only charged at the cheapest hours.
You are eligible for a bonus if your smart charging session meets the following conditions:
Your departure time is at least 7 hours after your start time.
Your 'minimum battery level' is set at 45% or lower and your 'maximum battery level' is set at 80% or higher, or the difference between your minimum and maximum desired battery level is at least 28 kWh.
Obviously, the electric car, or the charging station, must be able to be controlled by Frank.
If you do not meet these requirements beforehand, we will optimize your session only at EPEX prices and no bonus fee will apply. You will, of course, save by avoiding the expensive EPEX prices.
