What is Smart Charging?

Smart Charging means is a free service from Frank Energy that automates the charging of your electric car at economical times within the time interval that the car should be charged. On average, you can save up to 600€ per year.

We charge during cheap hours, but also when there is surplus energy. This is how we optimize in the OMIE and imbalance markets. In this way, we achieve two types of savings.

The first saving is generated during the low price hours in the OMIE energy market and the second saving in the form of a 'Bonus' by optimizing the load in the imbalance market. To do this, we disassociate ourselves from the program that charges only during the cheapest OMIE hours.

This bonus is displayed in the application and credited to you on a monthly basis. As a result, it is always cheaper than if we had charged only during the cheapest OMIE hours.

It is also important to know that we first 'calibrate' for a short period of time, in order to better estimate the charging speed of your car and better optimize your sessions.
