Why doesn't my car charge at low/negative prices?

When we do not charge negative or low OMIE prices, it is the case that we can gain a greater advantage in the imbalance market. We share the resulting savings with you in the form of a bonus. This bonus is so high that it will always be cheaper for you than if we had charged at the lower hourly prices.

If your desired departure time is further in the future and the OMIE prices for that time are not yet known, we predict the OMIE prices. It may happen that our prediction indicates that prices in the more distant future are lower than the currently known prices. In that case, we will postpone the loading of your car for you, thereby hopefully obtaining a better result.
